Arstar Stables believes in providing horses with care that emulates their natural environment as closely as possible. To that effect, as horses are constantly grazing and moving herd animals, we give the horses at our farm unlimited turn out with a buddy, top quality hay supplemented with alfalfa based complete pellets, and seasonal turn out on seeded grass pasture. We have a pastoral setting that allows for the horses to be "natural" while in a full time training program, and we have found that this makes for happy, relaxed horses.
Since purchasing the property in 2000, Angie & Richard Murray have been constantly upgrading the farm, including addition of the riding ring and paddocks, upgrading fencing and cross-fening, completion of the over 6000 sq.ft. barn in 2002, developing the "all-season" paddocks in 2006, and most recently the preparation and seeding of another grass pasture for turn-out in summer of 2007.
Plans for development in near future include: - resurface of outdoor to all weather sand ring - addition of large sand lungeing ring - addition of lights to outdoor ring(s) - addition of grass/sand berm & table top to ring - upgrade of lawn/picnic area beside ring - upgrade of landscaping & gardens
